The Social Work Foundation is a non-profit public benefit organization. It was founded as private law organization by Royal Decree 710/1967 as published in the Government Gazette 244 of December 30, 1967, volume AD and later amended by the Government Gazette 1855B of September 13, 2007.
The Foundation is supervised by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and has special certifications for its operation.
The Social Work Foundation has a special Certification as a service provider at primary, secondary and tertiary level according to relevant decisions of the Board of Directors of the National Center for Social Solidarity (Government Gazette 1163 of April 10, 2012, Government Gazette 2978 of October 16, 2012 as well as 6039 of December 31, 2020).
The Foundation is also included in the following:
- National Register of Non-Profit Private Sector Organisations Providing Social Care Services.
- Special Register of Non-Profit Private Sector Organisations of Volunteer Non-Governmental Organizations (Law 2646 of 1998).
